Day Six of Patient Safety Awareness Week. Medication Safety Matters.

In the spirit of recognizing that #WeAreAllPatients:

Learn More, Do More

Fact: Recent research indicates that almost 60% of adults in the US use at least one prescription medication. Those using multiple prescription medications are on the rise. It is important that your clinicians know what medications you are taking so they can assess which ones are still needed and if they are working.

Action you can take: Download the medication wallet card, fill it out, and carry it with you at all times.

Resources to learn more: Visit the consumer site provided by ISMP (Institute for Safe Medication Practices), and check out the NPSF page Pharmacy Safety and Service.
