Association for Vascular Access Tip of the Day: Moving the Needle forward in Patient Safety

Vascular access is by far the most commonly performed invasive procedure. There are over 50,000 deaths annually associated with just one of the complications. Yet very little is done for awareness and education. AVA will be posting a Tip of the Day on how patients can stay safe during the most common and seemingly benign device - the IV.
