Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs, Virginia Supports Everyday is Patient Safety Day

Bath Community Hospital, in Hot Springs, Va. is supporting Patient Safety Week, by providing opportunities for fun and fun to learn activities. Each day will bring a different safety question emailed to employees. Employees will have the opportunity to do a crossword puzzle that incorporates patient safety, a word scramble pertaining to patient safety and a simulation room that will have opportunity to "identify what is unsafe about this room." Another activity is the use of the glow germ, to incorporate hand hygiene and the end of the week will provide a scavenger hunt. The use of the National Patient Safety Foundation brochures and posters will be prominent for staff and families to view, along with the opportunity to sign the pledge to help create a culture of patient safety. Another opportunity BCH will take is to provide education regarding the WHO Patient Safety Quiz and provide the quiz to staff members.
