Need help planning out your activities for Patient Safety Awareness Week? Let us make some suggestions!

Sunday – Take the Pledge
Invite individuals to take a pledge for patient safety.

Monday – Join the Webcast
Invite individuals to tune into a special IHI/NPSF webcast with nationally known experts discussing the importance of speaking up from the perspectives of clinicians, staff, and patients and families. The program is free of charge, but registration is required. Register here.

Visit the Patient Safety Store to purchase themed materials for your activities.

 

     

Tuesday – Take Action
Invite health professionals and health care consumers to learn more about what they can do engage with the United for Patient Safety campaign and Patient Safety Awareness Week. 

Wednesday – Get the Word Out
Share what your organization is doing to observe Patient Safety Awareness Week on social media and via the online discussion forum

Thursday – Honor a Loved One
Invite individuals to share a memorial and honor someone who was harmed or died as a result of medical harm. 

Friday – Join the Twitter Chat
Join @TheIHI and others as we chat about Building a Culture of Safety, Friday, March 16, from noon to 1:00 PM Eastern Time. Use the hashtag #PSAW18 to join. See details here.

Saturday – Keep the Conversation Going 
Encourage individuals to visit the online discussion forum to connect with others, share best practices, and learn new ideas for observing Patient Safety Awareness Week. 

And finally, Save the Date – Patient Safety Awareness Week 2019 will take place March 10-16!
